Non-Degree Students
Non-degree students are eligible for admission on a part time basis. This includes high school students (or equivalent), students with a Hartwick affiliation (spouse, parent, etc.) or students with no Hartwick affiliation who do not wish to matriculate into a degree program. Non-degree students may enroll in up to 8 credits in the fall and spring terms, and 4 credits in January term.
Non-degree students must
submit an enrollment application to the Registrar's Office. High school students must provide a letter of support from a parent or guidance counselor with the enrollment application. Applications must be submitted prior to the start of the term in which enrollment is being requested.
Non-degree students may register in classes on a space-available basis, assuming they have satisfied course prerequisites. If a prerequisite course was taken at another institution, an unofficial transcript proving successful completion must be submitted with the enrollment application.
Non-degree students pay a fee per credit and are ineligible for financial aid.
Fees are located on the Student Accounts web site. If a non-degree student decides to work toward a degree, the student must follow the regular application procedures and fulfill the entrance requirements of the college.
