HIIT, involves bursts of high-intensity cardio and strength exercises interspersed with brief periods of recovery. Working out to your maximum capacity during the short bursts of activity is what makes HIIT so effective. HIIT workouts improve your heart as a muscle, burn more total calories in less time, are simple and increase metabolism with a higher after-burn.
