NURS 434 Adv Medical-Surgical Nursing
Integrates knowledge from the humanities and sciences into the holistic and informed care of patients with complex, multiple system disorders encountered in critical care settings. Evidence-based practice, quality and safety, and advanced nursing care concepts are emphasized. Students gain insight into the problems of critically ill patients and the management issues that accompany critical illness. Skill in critical thinking and clinical problem solving is further expanded, practiced, and refined. Therapeutic communication skills, therapeutic nursing interventions, levels of prevention, and the nursing process are applied in critical care settings. Not required for RN Mobility students.
