BIOL 210 Microbiology of Disease
The study of bacteria and viruses related to infectious disease in humans and standard methods for working with bacteria in the laboratory. A course designed for nursing majors, topics include principles of infectious disease and epidemiology; bacterial cell structure, physiology, genetics, and reproduction; viral reproduction; immunology; and control of microbial growth. This course does not fulfill any requirement in the biology major. Prerequisites: BIOL 206, BIOL 207 and CHEM 105.
