BUSA 343 Social Media Marketing
Students examine social networks, social media platforms and online advertising from both the buyer and seller perspectives thus equipping them with the relevant knowledge, perspectives, and practical skills required to develop marketing strategies that leverage the opportunities inherent in social media and consumer-to-consumer social interactions. Topics may include: identifying available social media marketing channels, building social marketing strategies, tracking strategy effectiveness as well as emerging topics in electronic commerce, mobile marketing, and social media startups. The course is coupled with a lab to prepare students to take the industry recognized Google Analytics Certification Exam. Prerequisite: BUSA 230, BUSA 240, BUSA 270, BUSA 280
