WELL 116 Mindful Performance & Dance

Let's dance! This dynamic course blends the
codified techniques of Ballet and Modern Dance
with the expressive styles of Hip Hop, Jazz, and
Musical Theatre. Through movement, students will
explore the 7 dimensions of wellness, developing
personal strategies to improve physical,
emotional, and social well-being. Weekly lectures
and activities in mindfulness, meditation, and
fitness will support holistic wellness alongside
creative expression. Students will engage in
independent choreography projects with weekly
video journal submissions and must commit to
additional evening hours for rehearsals during
Tech and performance nights.
