Grammar and vocabulary will be taught in context through the reading, listening, viewing, and analysis of cultural production of the Spanish-speaking world. This course will go more in depth in grammatical points in order to help students manipulate them with more precision in written and oral assignments related to the historical, social, and cultural contexts of various Spanish-speaking countries and regions. Oral proficiency is strongly emphasized. A final grade of B+ is required in order to continue toward a major.
