SOCI 485 Senior Seminar
In this culminating course for the major, students design and complete an independent research project on a topic of their choice. Building on what they have learned in theory, methods, and substantive courses, students will develop a research question, review relevant literature, consider ethical issues, design a study, collect or analyze data, and present findings in both written and oral formats. Throughout the semester, we will examine examples of strong criminological research to guide your work and strengthen your ability to connect theory and methods in your own project. Integrating career components, this course will also fulfill the requirements for The Career Capstone.
Note: This course can be fulfilled through CRMJ 490: Senior Seminar in Criminal Justice.
