MUSI 112 Introduction to Basic Piano
Designed to teach the concepts and fundamentals of piano playing for those with limited or no piano experience. Students explore a variety of musical repertoire, learn musical terminology, keyboard navigation and develop finger dexterity. Areas of emphasis include the study of musical notation and symbols, rhythm, note reading, scales, key signatures, intervals, triads as well as work in listening analysis as a means to improve music reading skills. Offered Fall and Spring Terms.
