ENGL 110 College Writing
Practice in writing college-level expository and analytical (i.e., "argumentative") essays, as well as review of English grammar and mechanics, all of which prepares students for success in college-level writing. Students will have ample opportunity to practice the stages of writing: drafting, developing, revising and editing essays. Includes assigned readings and conferences with the instructor, as well as peer review of class colleagues' essays. Students write a minimum of fifteen finished pages of expository and analytical writing. Does not count toward majors or minors in English. Offered Fall and Spring.
