BIOL 325 Cell Biology

This course covers the structure and function of eukaryotic cells. Students will examine membrane and organelle structure and function; bioenergetics; and cellular communication. Students will apply basic knowledge to cell biology as they investigate how human disease and disorders, particularly cancer, disrupt cell function. Laboratories will illustrate cellular phenomena, and introduce the students to techniques and procedures commonly used in modern cell and molecular biology research.
