101 Beginning American Sign Language I
This course includes the study of American Sign Language (ASL) vocabulary and linguistic structure as well as Deaf culture in America. Conversational skills are practiced and encouraged, but the focus is on developing strong receptive signing skills. Class is conducted in ASL. Voice is used only during specific times designated by the instructor.
Upon successful completion of
ASL 101, students may enroll in
ASL 102.
