EDUC 376 Behavior Support for Students with Disabilities

This course provides an overview of strategies and techniques designed to help educators respond positively and proactively to challenging behaviors in the classroom. The needs of diverse students are explored with particular attention to students with disabilities. Emphasis will be placed on current legal policies and educators’ responsibilities, school-wide and individualized positive behavior supports, functional behavior assessments, access to communication and instruction, and collaboration.
