CISC 260 Designing Information Systems

An introduction to software engineering and the system development life cycle. Topics include techniques for describing process flows, data flows, file design, input/output design and program specification. Emphasis will be placed on information gathering and reporting activities, on the analysis phase and the interaction of the various participants in the system process. There will be a group project. Offered alternate years Prerequisite: CISC 225.
