ART 250E Sculpture in the Everyday Art
This course will focus on seeing art-making potential in non-traditional materials. Students will explore thrift stores, the outdoors, their own cabinets to find material for sculpture and will also have the opportunity to use site as inspiration. Themes will include clothing, found objects, and reused materials to develop the potential to see sculpture all around us. Students will be encouraged to experiment with various materials in conjunction with found materials such as wood, metal, plaster, clay, fiber, and new media.
