MUSI 433 Methods of Music Composition

This is a course in music composition which will explore common compositional methods used in the Western art music canon and beyond. Students will write compositions in a variety of these styles and analyze music in this and other traditions. The students will perform and discuss each other's compositions on a regular basis. Offered every other Fall.
