HIST 333 Revolutionary America
This course will examine the American Revolution and the Early Republic, 1763-1815. Topics include the historiography of the American Revolution; the imperial crisis; republicanism(s); the War of the Revolution; the Confederation Era and Constitution; the first party system; slavery and race; women and gender; research methods; and historical writing. Students will be required to complete a major primary source-based research paper on a topic of their choosing.
