ENGL 230 British Literature: Beginnings through Milton
Examines the sweep of British literature from the Anglo-Saxon period through the works of Milton and his contemporaries. Emphasis will be on the characteristics of specific literary works and of the favored forms within an historical period, as well as the interactions between literature and culture during a historical period.
