CRMJ 290 Cornerstone
This course aims to better prepare sociology and criminal justice majors for advanced coursework in the discipline and assist them with understanding their major field and its associated career options. This course serves as a primer, theory, research methods, current topics and debates in the discipline. Furthermore, students will learn how to conduct a literature review, search academic/scholarly articles, write a research paper, and cite correctly in sociological and criminological formats. This course will provide students an opportunity to consider their career goals, connect with Hartwick alumni in relevant fields, and discuss concepts and research with other sociologists and criminologists.
