ART 411 Art Theory & Practice
Art Theory & Practice is centered on preparing art seniors for their senior thesis exhibition and navigating the art world following graduation. Topics covered include writing artist statements, cover letters and CVs, and using these for grant applications, exhibitions, gallery proposals, applying for grad school, and job positions etc. Students will learn to put together a professional portfolio, and how to use the internet to display and promote their art. We also cover selling art, pricing freelance and design jobs. Offered fall semester only.
Prerequisite
Successful completion of the Junior Art Review AND permission of instructor.
