The Cybersecurity major at Hartwick College equips students with the critical skills needed to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of digital security. Through a hands-on, multidisciplinary approach, students learn to analyze threats, build robust cyber defenses, and safeguard data across organizations.
Beyond technical expertise, the program emphasizes the human and digital frameworks essential for maintaining a secure cyber environment—balancing proactive prevention with effective recovery strategies. Coursework covers key areas such as computer programming, system analysis, security system design, network security, cyber forensics, investigative techniques, and hacking prevention.
With a strong foundation in both theory and real-world application, graduates are prepared to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals in a wide range of industries.
