SPAN 340 Translation Studies
In this course students will be introduced to Translation as Profession, Theory and Practice. Students will explore aspects relating to context and negotiating meaning, audience, register and regionalisms. The course will offer an introduction to translating texts in various contexts and of different types including commercial and financial, legal and political, medical, scientific and technical, literary, cultural and marketing texts.

SPAN 203 OR Spanish faculty approval.
