BIOL 310 Ornithology

Taxonomy, evolution, physiology, behavior, ecology, and conservation of the most-studied vertebrates, the birds. Articles from the primary literature will be discussed to understand how ornithology is currently practiced. In the laboratory, students will learn to identify common bird species in the region and become familiar with research tools used by ornithologists.
