An exploration of Supreme Court decisions that have established the range of individual rights and the meaning of legal equality in the United States. Topics may include freedom of speech and press, religious freedom, privacy rights, rights of the accused, gay and lesbian rights, racial equality, and gender equality. Offered alternate years.
