MUED 223 Keyboard Techniques III

The third in the required sequence of four courses in piano for music education majors. Work will focus on harmonization, transposition, improvisation, part reading from choral works, sight reading, accompanying, scales, arpeggios, technical exercises, and incorporate the use of technology with assignments on Finale. Materials are sequenced to accommodate different backgrounds, but basic keyboard reading skills is required. The course is a four-semester sequence that progresses developmentally through all skill areas. Enrollment is limited to Music Education majors or by instructor approval Offered every Fall Term.
