ART 471 Advanced Ceramics
Students will begin to develop their own language as artists by creating 4-5 bodies of work over the course of the semester. Students will choose to work functionally or sculpturally to further develop their skill. Studio work will be complemented by development of an artist’s statement and a digital portfolio of work. Students will develop political fluency and learn to communicate effectively by analyzing historic and contemporary ceramics through lectures, research and discussion. This course may be repeated twice. Offered yearly.
