ART 116 Creative Technology
This art fundamental explores creative uses of digital technology including 3D printers, and laser cutters. Students develop transferable skills through learning and using the Macintosh computer platform and professional and App based software. Image creation and Augmented Reality will be explored through the use of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Capture and Artivive. Students will learn the techniques of design thinking to foster creative solutions for problem solving. Students will also learn the vocabulary that describes art and the basics of constructing an image through perspective and point of view. This is a core Art course. Art majors should take this course during their first year or immediately following the declaration of a studio art major or minor. Offered twice a year. Suitable for majors and non-majors.
