PUBH 150 Careers in Public Health
Interested in learning about career paths in public health? Want to know how you can leverage a career in public health based on your skills, abilities and personality? Do you like to learn by interacting with professionals in a hands on manner? Then, this course is for you! During this class, you will gain an overview of public health, both domestically and globally. You will learn historical perspectives, as well as current information, on public health. Specific information about careers in public health will be presented, primarily by professionals in the field. Students will explore how their personality, values, and interests align with public health career paths and also learn how to put their best foot forward when applying to public health internships, jobs and graduate school. Prerequisite: None
