PHYS 250 Tip/Modern Astronomy and Recent Advances

This is a course designed for those interested in astronomy and some of the most exciting recent advances made on many fronts including: dark matter, dark energy, supernovae, gamma ray bursts, astronomical surveys and extra-solar planets. The course is ideally suited for students interested in learning about Astronomy and some recent events going on, but at a better pace and depth than the general education course offered to non-science students. Prerequisite: Permission of Instructor
