ECON 312 Macroeconomic Policy

Investigates the use of macroeconomic fiscal and monetary policies to address the negative consequences of changes in the business cycle. Investigations include a rigorous exploration of inflation, unemployment, and national income and product accounting. The historical, contemporary, and forecasted use of fiscal and monetary stabilization policies in the United States is considered in an applied context throughout the course. Prerequisite: ECON 102
