Below is a partial list of courses that count towards the GSS minor but it is constantly evolving so please contact either of the Co-Coordinators of Gender and Sexuality Studies, Professor Karina Walker (walkerk3@hartwick.edu) or Professor Michael Branch (branchm@hartwick.edu), for a list of courses offered in the current academic year that will count towards the minor.
Students in the Gender and Sexuality minor may earn up to 3 credits towards the program by participating in a relevant internship, experiential learning opportunity, study abroad course, research project, or independent/directed study. Students must seek approval from the program coordinators before it can be counted towards their minor and are encouraged to seek approval prior to engaging in the experience when possible. In addition, students must include a reflective project or paper as part of their experience, detailing how it enhances or contributes to their goals and objectives within the program.
